Neil Braeckevelt (°1979) studied law at the University of Ghent, and in 2003 followed a supplementary course (D.E.S.) in European Law at the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB). In 2002-2003, he also studied at the University of Manchester in the framework of the Erasmus Programme. In 2003, he became a lawyer registered at the Brussels’ Bar, and in December 2013 he joined Crivits & Persyn as a partner.

Together with Alex De Visscher, Neil leads the Administrative Law Practice Group. He advises and acts mainly in matters of public and administrative law (town planning, environmental law, disciplinary regulations, etc.) and (public and private) real estate. He also specifically focuses on public contracts and Public Private Partnerships (PPP). He has accumulated very considerable experience in this, both in the area of providing advice and in legal representation before the Council of State and the civil courts. Neil regularly speaks at seminars and courses, and is the author of various publications in this context.
